Hola Chicas y Chicos!
I need your help please. No don’t stop reading! It should take just a couple of clicks of your time and try not to get distracted before you find my ♥.
I’ve created a profile on Vanity Fair for their Best Dressed Challenge Series. Yes, I’m a little late to the game since the month of March closes in a few days(so please help with azúcar on top).
The series will happen each month for a few months (I missed February since I just found this). This will also give my blog great exposure. Yes, you read correctly a fashion blog (but you know this already if you are reading this on my post not FB). I know. I know. Does the world need another fashion blog? Well, this love everything fashion girl thinks so! It only took 2 years to hit publish. It’s a huge learning curve for me so bare with me. I am definitely sending Colt (my sweet sunshine) to Coding Camp and Photography Camp or better yet I will go to these camps!
So if you could help this (from a small town turned city girl, from the wrong side of the tracks, never learned how to make tortillas, Latina) girl out I would so appreciate it. If you have already given me #sunshine – Muchas Gracias!
Here is the direct link. You click on Elsa’s Looks then simply Press the Heart symbol. If you would share with your friends and family that would be the icing on the cake, or the tulle in my skirt, or the sunshine in my heart, or better yet the chips to my salsa or ??? what would yours be?
Prepping for this event was so much fun! I once again have to thank MAC Cosmetics on Union Street-I am going to miss Tiffany as she travels the world. I love when an outfit comes together unexpectedly. I bought the skirt at Anthropologie back in December not knowing where I would wear it. I just knew I had to have it! (similar here) The Black and White striped cropped top I just bought to go with a black fitted pencil skirt (on blog later). And of course the JBrand Pink Leather jacket I can’t get enough. I kept my jewelry understated since I had so many working prints. And my go to Kotur Clutch is the perfect size for my Samsung Galaxy S4.
I took tons of pictures at the Fashion show and can not wait to share those with you. So many wonderful fashion moments and such a great event (more on that coming soon).
The Pat Tillman Foundation is very close to my heart. As an ASU Alumni, an Arizona Cardinal fan and having a brother a former Marine (or should I say a Marine because once a Marine always a Marine, right?).
I’ve participated in the Pat Tillman Shadow Run but this year we are making the 4.2 miles a family event! I would like you to join us this year for the Pat Tillman Shadow Run. Shadow runs are casual, fun runs/walks held in parks and recreational areas coordinated by the local ASU Alumni Association or clubs.
TIME: 9am to 11am
WHERE: Marina Green
There are shadow runs nationwide and I’ve included the link here so please check them out. http://pattillmanfoundation.org/pats-run/
Make it a family event bring the kids, the stroller and your friends. Or challenge yourself and beat your best time.
It’s a moment to remember and honor such a true hero. http://pattillmanfoundation.org/about-us/
I hope you will join us for some sunshine!
YSL Tribute Heels
I ♥ a theme party! I just attended a friend’s 70s theme birthday party (think American Hustle) at Park Tavern. If you are ever looking for a party venue in SF this place is great. They have a stylish upstairs room that is fantastic and of course the food is always good. I love their smoked deviled eggs and the Wagyu Beef Jerky. Big fan of this place. And of course our hosts were divine-thanks for the fun night!
I found this vintage 70s Mignon maxi dress on eBay and absolutely love it (great seller http://www.ebay.com/usr/arhny151). I will be wearing it again. Make-up and eyelashes were done by Tiffany (love her) at MAC Cosmetics on Union Street. And yes, the spray tan was overdone but I asked for extra 70s dark (Brown Sugar on Union)!! The go to shoe is the YLS Tribute shoe. It goes with everything and they are so comfortable. I want them in every color. The YLS Tribute shoe in blue is on the want/lust list. I can’t wait for the next theme party! I am thinking 90s theme party.
I bought this Dolce & Gabbana Herringbone Wool Flat Cap for the hubby. I have now made it my own. It’s the perfect cap when you only have a few minutes to get dressed. The French Connection lip sweater is also getting alot of wear. It’s fun and comfortable. Okay, but the Anthropologie necklace (someone needs to hide it from me) it could end up being the year of this necklace. Do you have an item that you seem to always wear?
Cap: Dolce & Gabbana | Sweater: French Connection (on sale!) | Necklace: Anthropologie (great value)
A great night at the San Francisco Junior League Launch Party for the upcoming Fashion Show & Gala
. The event was at the W Hotel and we had a great turn out. Since I was going to be on my feet most of the night I opted for a wedge. Mark your calendar March 21st at the Fairmont Hotel. Tickets still available
. Thanks for supporting the SF Junior League. Gala outfit coming soon.
